- Clean data and format spreadsheets to match templates (dates, column titles, etc).
- Save as .csv file with UTF-8 encoding. Use notepad to format if needed.
- Make sure there is one unique field (guid) in the file. See example spreadsheets for the format.
- Click on Import link on left sidebar.
- Select which feed you are importing to (Fish, Ratios, Collection, Otolith-Data).
- If importing new Fish ID's, you must import the Fish data first before Collection, Ratios, or Otolith-Data.
- Import
- Leave the delimiter as a ",".
- Uncheck "No Headers" if checked.
- Leave file encoding as "UTF-8".
- Choose file to import and select "Preview" to view subset of data to be imported to check for errors, or select "Import" to import data.
- If import yielded errors, you can select the "Delete Items" tab to delete the last import.
- If import fails in the middle of the import process, you may need to "Unlock" the import. To do this, select the "Unlock" tab. You can then re-import the file.
